Why a Past Life Regression Might Show You This Life Instead

You booked a Past Life Regression expecting to meet another version of yourself in another time. Instead, you found yourself somewhere in this life instead, a childhood memory, a moment you'd almost forgotten. If that's happened to you, or you're worried it might, I want to be upfront: I don't fully know why this happens. What I can tell you is that it happens more often than people expect, and I don't think it's random.

‍ ‍

It happens in curiosity sessions too

‍ ‍

In my Quantum Journeys work, where a client moves through a door to explore something specific, it makes a certain amount of sense that the session stays close to what we're actually working on. But I've seen this happen just as often in group regression circles and one-on-one sessions where someone came in purely out of curiosity, no issue to resolve, nothing they were consciously trying to work through.

‍ ‍

My husband did a regression with me once purely out of curiosity about past lives. He ended up back at his own wedding day instead. I've had group sessions where multiple people were brought into specific moments from this life, not lifetimes ago, this year, this decade. And I had one client who wasn't sent to a past life or even a past moment in this one, she was shown something more like an alternate path in this life, a version of what she could be doing that might make her happier.

‍ ‍

I don't try to force it anywhere

‍ ‍

I'll be honest, I have theories, not answers. Sometimes I wonder if there's something in this life that needs attention before the subconscious is willing to go further back. Sometimes I wonder if what looks like curiosity about a past life is actually pointing somewhere closer to home, something the person already senses but hasn't looked at directly yet.

‍ ‍

But I hold all of that loosely. My job in these sessions isn't to steer toward a past life or away from one. It's to let the higher self lead wherever it decides to go, and trust that it knows something I don't. I've learned not to fight that.

‍ ‍

If you're preparing for a session

‍ ‍

If you're hoping to explore a past life specifically, it helps to say so going in. But I'd also gently prepare you for the possibility that you land somewhere else entirely, this life, a memory, even a path not yet taken. In my experience, that's never been a wrong turn. It's just where the session was supposed to go.
